The illustrations from the Bishop interview in “Bondage Life”, volume 1, number 9 continue. At this point, the image posted as BISH0672 was published - this was one of the “bound cheerleader” pictures that appeared in “Bishop on Bondage”, volume 1, number 5.
Another *very* fine piece: a tanned and busty blonde (perhaps the same one from BISH0752?) stands awkwardly with her hands cuffed behind her back. Her harness of straps has been replaced by a broader white leather arrangement that is a cross between a corset and a body harness. Straps run around her groin and up to her collar to hold it firmly in place, and straps from her matching leather thigh boots are “gartered” to the the harness. A separate brief “undergarment” straps around her waist under the harness and runs through her shaved crotch. Her collar tilts her head up and wraps around her face to provide an extra wide gag strap to hold a ball in her mouth. A leather blindfold has been strapped into place as well. She still sports her nose ring, and has been “given” a set of nipple rings with bells dangling from lines bouncing from heaving breasts.
Oooo, *nicely* done!
A sepia-toned piece of art near the center of the interview shows a frightened woman bound naked on a bed. Her legs are spread by a pole tied off to the foot of the bed, and her neck is tied off to the head of it to keep her from rising up to fight her captor. Her arms are lashed behind her back to keep them out of the way, and a strap and bands of tape hold a gag in her mouth to quiet her screams. She stares in horror at the man leaning over the bed to place one hand between her legs and stroke her crotch with the other.

Bishop did some rather *outstanding* paintings for this interview, and one appears in BISH0752. A busty blonde cringes away from the viewer, her long-gone clothing replaced by a leather harness that just encircles her hips and crotch, and supports the half-cups holding her ripe breasts up for “inspection”… Her arms are covered by opera gloves and wrenched behind her back to be tied together at wrist and elbow. Leather thigh boots shape her legs, and a large ball gag keeps her cries of fright muffled. She looks out in fear over the ring set into her nose to better lead the reluctant captive to her next ordeal… (Yes, I really *liked* this one! <g>)

BISH0751 is the first of a set accompanying an *interview* with Bishop in Bondage Life, volume 1, number 9. The interview was conducted by Geoffrey Merrick, the Bishop friend and collaborator who coaxed him into finishing the Fanni Hall saga. In it, Merrick and Bishop discuss such topics as high school, career history, why bondage?, why so many Bishop captives are “short-haired, big chested” blondes (“Any idea where she comes from?” “Um, no. I really don’t. I guess she’s easy to draw.”) and how critical Bishop was of his own work.
This image is a rare self-portrait, showing Bishop thoughtfully studying his paint brush. I note some resemblance to the early appearance of the A. Gorila character in the “Fanni” story (BISH0028), but that may be fanciful thinking on my part.

The main piece of art for the story, showing a profile of Oriana’s bust, largely in shadow. Her exceptional breasts are framed by ropes wrapping around her body, pinning her arms to her side. Her cloth gag has been replaced by packing held in place by a thin belt wrapping around her face twice. She pears out of the corner of her eye over her nose ring, looking behind her to see what torment her love is preparing for her next.

This is an inset illustration for the story “Captive Souls”. Our blonde captive is given a name, Oriana. She is bound and tormented by her unnamed lover, who sates his inner demons by giving her pain, concentrating mainly on her ponderous breasts. For her part, she endures for his sake, knowing this is the only release he has for his tortured soul.
Oriana now squats on the floor, her legwear replaced by thigh boots. Her arms are bound tightly together and lashed to her waist, chest, and breasts. Given her lover’s preoccupation with her breasts, the cords running through them are pulled especially tight. A cloth winds around her face to hold her gag in her mouth.

Let us continue on with artwork from my own collection of magazines and clippings. I’ve arranged these alphabetically by magazine, so let’s go through them in order:
BISH0747 is one of those pieces from TeeElAche’s magazines that I deferred to the future. I chose to delay this one, as it is part of a set that goes with a story published in “Bondage Journal” volume 1, number 1. This piece is not labeled as such, as it appears on the inside cover of the magazine, but is obviously belongs with the others.
A voluptuous blonde kneels on the floor, arching her back to enhance her sizable bust even more. Wearing stockings, heels, garters and opera gloves, she sits on her knees and toes, bound against a pole set in the floor. Her ankles are crossed and bound, and tied off to her crossed wrists. Her elbows are each tied off to the tip of the pole, forcing her to arch her back. A pad of cloth is shoved deep into her mouth, and is held in place by a belt that wraps around her face and neck to be buckled under her chin.
The final magazine in TeeElAche’s set of donations is “Knotty” volume 3, number 2. We’ve already seen all the artwork in this issue in earlier posts, but let me note them for you so you know where they were first published.
The piece of negative artwork in BISH0586 is the inside cover artwork for the issue. The table of contents appears below it, explaining why it does not fill the entire page as is usual. The letter column also appears on the inside cover, headed as usual by BISH0735. The letter column continues onto several pages in the issue, which is not unusual, but the same illustration appears at the top of each letters page, which is.
A story previously mentioned, “The Threshold of Agony”, with illustrations posted as BISH0630 and BISH0631, appears in this issue. The “teaser” on the cover for this story promises that “The thin line between ecstasy and horror is the foundation of torture!”
A “Fanni Hall” chapter, posted as BISH0151–BISH0154, was first published in this issue.
If there are illustrations on either side of the back cover, I do not have them for you, as that was the only page that was missing from TeeElAche’s donations…
Once again, I’d like to thank TeeElAche for loaning (actually, *GIVING*) out his magazines. The pictorials in these mags will be posted in the future as part of a new series after we run out of Bishop material.
