A lanky woman squats awkwardly on a tiled floor. She is bent forward with her legs folded around her and crossed underneath her breasts. Her elbows are strapped tightly together behind her back, and her crossed wrists as well. More straps run from her biceps to her calfs and from her ankles to her thighs to keep her in this painful position. A large padded gag is strapped firmly into her mouth; a bar between her wrists and her gag strap, and belts from the bar and her collar also force her to lean forward into her squat. A leash dangles on the floor from a snap attached to her collar, waiting for whatever moment her captor may choose to release her from this brutal treatment.
An interesting element of this drawing is the circular tiled pattern on the floor she is squatting on. They give the impression that she is in the middle of a spider’s web, which may not be too far from the truth, figuratively speaking. A rather nice, if nasty, piece of art!

This is another sepia toned piece. A tall woman with an hourglass figure is bound thoroughly in rope. Skeins of the stuff surround her ankles, knees, and forearms. Beyond that, her arms are lashed together behind her back in no less than 5 places. (!) A belt under her shoulder blades is buckled firmly behind her knees, folding her in half. A cord from the ceiling to her bound wrists holds her teetering in this position. A gag harness holds a rubber ball in her mouth; noteworthy by the fact that the ball is supported by two separate straps instead of one. Her hair flows over her head to dangle toward the floor. She is still clothed (for the moment) in a snug sweater, short shorts and knee high boots. (The outfit looks GOOD on her, but I *presume* this minor oversight will be corrected in short order…)

Our captive glares with some irritation at the predicament she’s been placed in. In a form fitting body suit, she is propped up awkwardly by a bar strapped to the small of her back. Her arms are lashed together to a pole behind her back, and her legs are held suspended and spread by tethers attached to straps around her knees and ankles. Her ankles are tethered together, forcing her legs to form a “diamond”. A broad cloth holds whatever packing is in her mouth to gag her.

Several sepia toned pieces accompany this installment of “Quiet Evenings”. The first shows a woman in a flowered mini-skirt and stiletto heels, bent back over her folded legs and propped against a wall. Her arms are thoroughly lashed to her legs, and a bar attached to a harness strapped around her body holds a line taut through her crotch. Her breasts are bound in rope, and a series of straps hold a tube in her mouth, gagging her and making her “accessible” for other things… I chose to leave this image in it’s original yellow tone; if you dislike this, it will convert to greyscale with no loss of detail. Some of the other scans in this series are greyscaled because they did not offer the same flexibility.

This is the introductory piece to another installment of “Quiet Evenings”. The text is a recurring introduction that I have neglected to quote before now:
"The beam of a single lantern casts ominous shadows into the remote corners of the damp, cold cellar. You enter slowly, not sure of what is lurking among the deep recesses, but a strange unexplainable power draws you on. A faint undistinguishable scratching sound from somewhere within the permeating blackness reaches your ears, invading a silence known to few but the dead. As your eyes begin to accustom themselves to the bleak lighting you see the outline of a figure, possibly a man’s, hunched over in one of the corners. You approach the figure warily until you’re sure that it’s a man, an old man but somehow young. An innocent sincerity shines from his eyes, reflecting the soft glow of the lantern. The sketch pad in his hand settles to his lap as he looks up to you. "The Lady sent me," you manage to whisper, but he seems not to hear, only to look deep within your soul for his answers. Without a word he reaches for a small stack of papers at his side, hands them to you, and returns to his pad as if you had never existed. You glance at the papers he’s just handed you and scrawled across the front is the simple but all-revealing message "Quiet Evenings." The startling realization hits you with the force of a cannon, you have finally met The Bishop!"
Theatrics aside <g>, the prose reminds me of a well written adventure game on the computer. And perhaps a minor commentary on beating a deadline, as “The Lady” is no doubt Barbara Behr, the publisher of most of the magazines Bishop’s work appeared in.
The picture itself is a very nice pen and ink drawing. A blonde in a latex body suit squats on the floor in her bondage. Her ankles are crossed and strapped together, and a spreader bar strapped between her knees make her legs form a diamond. Between her full thighs, a convenient zipper at her crotch awaits your attention… A belt attached to the strap around her ankles runs to her collar, forcing her to lean forward. She has turned her body, giving us a good look at the single sleeve imprisoning her arms. A broad leather strap holds a plug gag in her mouth; the plug looks like it may be removed while leaving the gag strap in place.
What is most intriguing about this picture is the expression on her face. She looks alert, perhaps even expectant… One might read anxiety in those eyes, but little fear. She projects an attitude of patient innocence I find most appealing. Another *very* nice piece of art from the Bishop!

Here mistress begins pulling down her slave’s underwear as she reaches for a cup with a shaving brush in it. She obviously intends to make it easier for him to wear bikini briefs without any unsightly hair peeking through. The fact that his arms are lashed to a pole and the look on his face testify that he may not have been consulted on this fashion decision…

Mistress helps her slave get dressed. Already in opera gloves, corset, and stockings, mistress laces up his underwear to keep his pesky appendage out of the way. Stiletto boots await behind him. Mistress don’t look bad in her thigh boots and gloves, either.

As promised, there is another “girly-man”. He actually makes a striking “lady”, with the exception of the burly forearms that give him away. One must admire his fashion sense, with the *teeny* skirt and thigh boots, and matching belt and neck band.
